Greetings to all my fellow pack members. It's been quite some time since I've done any sort of training on a regular basis and having recently gone to a training session, as well as being excited about Festival, I find myself wanting to advance my skills and relearn old ones once more.
Therefore I'm putting forth the idea of having an informal weapon training session at the Lang Ridge Outpost, maybe one evening a fortnight if theres enough interest and a night that suits most people.
Activities ranging from combat weapon discussions to full speed combat in armour and anything in between. In this way I hope to establish weapon knowledge and preferences of our lance members, as well as the skills to use any weapon if the situation calls for it.
So please post your ideas here and hopefully something can be organized for some time early may (after festival and while my excitement and enthusiasm is running high - and hopefully I'll have some cool war stories to get your blood pumping too).
Cheerfully Kondrak Captains Guard

Sounds like an excellent plan to me... And if you feel like some variety, I know I have plenty of room in my yard too...
Is this training a case of "Sparring Partners" AKA the amazing talking pell or something more structured...?

Not necessarily sparing partners in a true sense, more along the lines of starting with simple weapon skills against a "moving pell" (ie sword shield work) then advancing to different weapon styles after discussing things like strengths/weaknesses, styles of combat etc of the new weapon. Eventually once people have their armour done, we can go to "fast and light" and trying new things.
Basically brainstorming a weapon then using it to find out what works and what doesnt.
